This collection holds records of Capt. Max R. Rush, who served as a US Navy officer from 1944 to 1971. Documents relate to Rush's time at the US Naval Academy, his duty on the USS Pensacola during World War II and his subsequent career as a Naval Aviator and commanding officer of Antisubmarine Squadron VS-27 during the Cold War era. The bulk of the records document administrative duties. Several photographs and certificates are also included.
